I was asked to do a biography on the person known only to you as Sunchild. Who and what is Sunchild ?

This is one of the most complex questions for any one person to answer. Well here goes nothing.

I have the honor of being one of Sunchild’s oldest and closest friends. A friendship, that started in 1981. Close to a million years ago. Two school kids not fully accepted or appreciated by their peers. Who dared to deviate from what was accepted as "normal". We questioned everything, we seldom accepted facts and wrote essays that had even our teachers questioning our sanity. Worst of all we dared to befriend broken people, people not sociably acceptable.

After school we landed up as roommates in a campus dorm. Here this friendship developed into a bond that knew no boundaries. Together we developed our physic abilities, and a telepathic bond that was scary in its intensity. With this bond we never stopped chatting even while we were sleeping. This habit drove our neighbors to distraction as they would wake up in the middle of the night with us chatting merrily. They would, of course try to quiet us down, with no effect, as we were sound asleep.

My friendship with Sunchild later in life turned out to be one of the few things that kept me sane. When troubled times entered my life Sunchild turned out to be the branch a drowning person could cling to. The tree that created a shadow that I could hide under if the harsh realities of life burned down on me. A mountaintop on which I could stand to shout out my joy of life.

Sunchild has never judged me, never broken my trust and will always be there for me.

For this Sunchild will always have my love.

It has been said that at the end of one’s lifetime you will be able to count your true friends on one hand. I know even now that Sunchild will be on my list ...number 1 on my list.

Sunchild is one of those people who give you a sense of security, someone you feel you've know all your life, never passing judgment, always willing to listen, giving advice without expecting you to follow it, and ever present to pick up the pieces should you fall.

Do not make the mistake of thinking she is timid and meek by this description. This lioness has claws and knows how to use them. Watching her defend what she sees as a just cause is rather awe-inspiring.
